Lil Nas X Hospitalized for Possible Overdose After Charging at Police

The Grammy winner was seen walking down Ventura Boulevard in his underwear

Lil Nas was hospitalized for a possible overdose after charging at officers in Studio City in the early hours of Thursday morning. The rapper was handcuffed before being transported to a local hospital.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Rolling Stone that a naked man was found walking down Ventura Boulevard at 5:50 a.m after several concerned witnesses called the police. While the LAPD did not confirm the rapper’s name, TMZ shared video of the 26-year-old walking on the same street in his underwear, incoherently speaking to the person taping him, telling them to put the phone down before beginning to mimic a ballroom strut and making comments about a party.

According to the LAPD, the man charged at officers after they attempted to approach him. He was then placed in handcuffs and transported to seek medical care for a possible overdose.

The artist, whose real name is Montero Hill, is currently still being treated at the hospital and could still potentially be charged for a crime by the police.

A rep for Lil Nas X did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Prior to the incident, Lil Nas X had made a flurry of bizarre posts on his Instagram page, after deleting all earlier posts two days prior. On Wednesday, he shared unreleased music over mirror selfies, his art, and piles of junk in what appears to be his home. His display name had been changed to “QUEEN MADELINE.”
