Gwen Stefani celebrated her “sweet and talented” middle son Zuma this week with a special post on social media.
Zuma turned 17 on Thursday (Aug. 21), and the proud mom of three boys marked the occasion by sharing a series of photos and a video of her son strumming on a guitar and singing.

Zuma Rossdale, the Country Singer
Zuma Rossdale has caused a stir on social media with his musical talent.
It’s no surprise, since music is in his blood. His mother, Gwen Stefani, has built a pop empire, and his father Gavin Rossdale is a ’90s icon as the lead singer of Bush.
His proclivity toward country music, however, seems to be inspired by his stepdad, Blake Shelton.
In fact, fans swear they can hear the country star’s influence in his delivery. The way he kicks his head back with certain lyrics feels very Shelton-esque.

Does Gwen Stefani’s Son Zuma Want to Be a Professional Country Singer?
At age 17, it’s not too early for Zuma to start pursuing music professionally. It’s unclear if he has set his sights on a country music career longterm, but he has taken advantage of the stage at Shelton’s bar Ole Red in Oklahoma.
The “Stay Country or Die Tryin'” singer has proudly welcomed Zuma to perform at the venue.
According to his father, Zuma has also spent time in the recording studio in recent years. He joked that his child’s musical talent has surpassed his own.
“Zuma’s begun recording,” Rossdale tells Us Weekly. “He’s out of control. I’m not even the best singer in my house anymore. It’s super annoying.”
While the parental figures in Zuma’s life are very supportive of his talents, they are also careful not to push. Shelton and Stefani have encouraged him to perform in front of people more often.
Who knows, perhaps the next big country hit will come from Zuma Rossdale?
