Lainey Wilson has been engaged to her fiancée, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, since February, and you’ll be surprised to find out how far she is in planning her wedding.
Wilson sat down with Taste of Country Nights‘ Evan Paul, who placed heat on her about wedding details and planning.
How Far Along Is Lainey Wilson in Her Wedding Planning?
The two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year surprised us by saying, “Well, you ain’t gonna believe this but we still have not planned it, bless his heart.”
Wilson pulled back the curtains and let us in on some personal information.
“It just seems like everything else is getting planned” instead, she adds.
Wilson tells us she and her team are already planning shows into 2027, leaving fewer and fewer available dates on the calendar with every day that goes by.
The “Hang Tight Honey” singer says, “Of course we sit around and talk about like, what we would want. Just trying to figure out is it [the wedding] big or small? Is cousin so-and-so coming? Is cousin so-and-so not?”
But if you’re looking for any solid hints as to what the Wilson/Hodges wedding will look like, she does say, “Who knows, I mean, probably riding in on some horses and riding out on some horses.”
After the two are done tying the knot, they might ride off on some horses and then arrive at the reception.
Don’t look for any country music to be playing during the reception, though, as Wilson says, “I do think that, like I said, I think we want to have some kind of jazz music of some sort, who knows?”
With the amount of planning that goes into her day-to-day life nowadays, it seems like it will be hard for Wilson to sandwich a wedding into the mix, but we are pretty certain that the two will carve out the time they need to have the best day of their lives.
