A man at a Gavin Adcock show was wrestled to the ground and kicked out by security after he lunged onstage towards the singer on Thursday (Aug. 21.)
It happened during Adcock’s show in Wichita, Kan., while Adock was in the middle of some stage banter with the crowd.
First, his microphone stand swung to the ground.
Then, according video filmed by someone in the crowd, a man from the front rows climbed onstage — and appeared to lunge straight for the singer.
A member of security quickly tackled the man, but he couldn’t be subdued easily. At one point, the security member seemed to have in a chokehold in order to keep him down.
By our count, a total of six security members eventually came out to escort the concertgoer offstage.
Adcock himself stood back and let his security do their work. As they dragged the man offstage, he yelled “Get his drunk a– out of here!” as fans roared along with him.
Gavin Adcock’s Live Shows Are Rowdy — And He’s Keeping it That Way
During a recent conversation with Rolling Stone, Adcock spoke about his notoriously wild shows, saying he had no plans to compromise that for fans who might be looking for a tamer experience.
“It’s just a beer-soaked, rowdy, cussin’, hell-raising environment where people are just throwing down,” Adcock said.
He did say he drew the line at safety concerns –such as fighting, and fans climbing onstage — pointing to the times when he’s shut down his fans’ habit of throwing beer cans.
Adcock Has Waged Social Media Feuds With Multiple Country Stars
Adcock’s presence offstage can be pretty volatile, too.
He has recently started social media feuds with acts like Charley Crockett, Zach Bryan and Beyoncé, and he hasn’t minced words on how he feels about any of them.
