Taylor Swift broke the internet (again) when she announced she and Travis Kelce are getting married!
The world watched as she kissed frog after frog before finally finding her prince. Now the two will be walking down the aisle in what many are already calling “America’s Royal Wedding.”
How Did Travis Kelce Propose to Taylor Swift?
Details surrounding the couple’s engagement remain sparse. Perhaps she will let us in on the specifics as we get further into her engaged life, or maybe she’ll reveal some Easter eggs on her new album, Life of a Showgirl.
We do know a handful of things, however.
First, the proposal happened about two weeks before the world saw it on social media. Kelce’s father, Ed, spilled that piping hot tea with ABC 5 in Cleveland.
“I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off ’til this week to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,” he shared. “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event… when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”
Second — also per Mr. Kelce — we know that the big moment happened at the NFL tight end’s house in Lee’s Summit, Mo., in a garden.
“He got her out there, they were about to go to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,'” Ed elaborates. “They go out there and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.”
“They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”

Swift is arguably the biggest thing in music right now and as a billionaire, it’s safe to say this wedding will be nothing short of massive and elaborate.
Oh, and star-studded.
