Mariah Carey Admits She Wishes She Dated 2Pac

Mariah Carey has admitted that she wished she had dated 2Pac after they met in the mid 1990s.

Speaking on Brown Bag Mornings to promote her upcoming album, Carey revealed she met the late rap legend at the 1996 American Music Awards.

She said: “Well, he said it like ‘Hi, Mariah,’ and I was like [ahhh],” and she claimed the brief moment left her with “more than butterflies”.

Carey added: “I was hosting the AMAs that year so I had to keep going back and forth, but I wanted to keep going back and forth because that happened.”

She continued: “I love Hip Hop and I love the moments that we’re talking about, especially ‘Hi, Mariah.’ So yeah, it was a pretty major moment for me to say the least.”

Carey was then asked if they ever had the chance to go on a date with the pop legend replying: “I wish.”

Actor Bokeem Woodbine recently revealed that 2Pac went to great lengths to try and impress Lucy Liu on the set of Gridlock’d.

Woodbine said: “I just remember one day on set, ‘Pac coming to the knock on my trailer. And he was like, ‘Yo, man, what are you doing?’ I was like, ‘I’m just chilling.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, man. I just came back from Lucy’s room and I’m trying to spit game.’”

He that Pac told him Liu wanted to teach him martial arts: “He was like, ‘Okay, well, maybe if I feign some interest and act like I’m interested in what she’s trying to talk to me about, it’ll get me closer to sealing the deal.’”

Woodbine added: “So, I’m just cracking up. And I said, ‘How’d it work? Did it work?’ He’s like, ‘No, it didn’t work.’ I said, ‘Ah, don’t worry about it, man. You know, you can’t win them all.’

“Maybe it just went over her head, like, she didn’t know what he [was talking about]. But he was telling me like, ‘Yeah, you know, I’m trying to trying to get to know her and the only thing she wants to talk about is waving these sticks around.’”
