Lainey Wilson was a recent guest on Taste of Country Nights and spilled some details about her wedding dress that are kind of surprising.
The two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year was asked if she was going for the easy win of having her wedding dress be a bell-bottom shape — it’s her signature, after all — but her response left us with more questions than answers.
“I’d be lying to you if I told you yes,” she admits. “Honestly, from what I’ve heard from other brides, you can plan all you want, but once you try the dress on, you’ll know which one is which.”
“I could go into it saying ‘Yeah, I kinda want it to resemble bell bottoms,'” Wilson shares, “but who knows, I might come out there looking like Cinderella!”
It seems like such a given that the woman who has a whole album called Bell Bottom Country (2022) would lean hard into the theme when she marries fiance Devlin “Duck” Hodges, so the fact that she’s considering going rogue will come as a shock to fans.
The “Somewhere Over Laredo” singer has told us in the past that she thinks her wedding is going to have a jazz theme, and that no country artists will perform, not even her.
As far as wedding planning goes, she and Duck Hodges are still in the beginning stages of that, but seem to have the basics of the event outlined.
A wedding date has not been shared.

Devlin “Duck” Hodges is a former NFL quarterback who played one season in the NFL in 2019 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He and Wilson got engaged in February of 2025.
