Diddy Pleads With Judge For ‘Fair Sentence’ Ahead Of Sentencing

Diddy is hoping to be sent home from jail early next month when he’s sentenced in his sex trafficking case.

The Bad Boy mogul’s lawyers argued he should receive no more than a 14-month sentence in a written request to Judge Arun Subramanian earlier this week.

If the judge sides with his legal team, then Diddy — who was arrested in September 2024 — will be released on time served.

“[Mr. Combs] has served over a year in one of the most notorious jails in America — yet has made the most of that punishment,” reads the filing, which has been reviewed by HipHopDX.

“It is time for Mr. Combs to go home to his family, so he can continue his treatment and try to make the most of the next chapter of his extraordinary life.”

The memo continues: “A sentence no greater than 14 months is plainly ‘sufficient, but not greater than necessary’ to accomplish the purposes of sentencing. It is the only just and fair sentence that could be imposed.”

Diddy will learn his fate on October 3. He faces up to 10 years in prison after being convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution this past summer.

The 55-year-old was acquitted of the two most serious charges he was accused of, sex trafficking and racketeering, avoiding a possible life sentence.

Puffy recently featured on Jay Electronica‘s surprise project A Written Testimony: Leaflets, marking his first musical appearance since the conclusion of his high-profile trial.

Delivering a spoken word intro on the opening song “Abracadabra,” he says: “Hip-Hop is in a very, very dangerous place, you know? Give them that shit, you know I’m sayin’? Liven up they souls, lift up they vibration. That’s what God sent you here to do, you know?”
