Taylor Swift Wrote a Poem for New ‘Life of a Showgirl’ Vinyl Edition

The Crowd is Your King edition will be available only at Target

Taylor Swift has written a new poem that will be included on her latest exclusive vinyl release for her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl

Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd is Your King edition on social media, writing, “A showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for the grand finale…”

The release will be available only at Target, and it’ll be pressed on an opaque pink and pale-yellow pearlescent vinyl with some gold touches (a color combo Swift dubbed “Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer” in her post). Along with the new Swift-penned poem, the package will feature a custom gatefold sleeve, a double-sided poster, full album lyrics, and never-before-seen photos.

Swift has announced numerous variants for The Life of a Showgirl, but while the packaging may be different, every version of the album will feature the same 12 songs. The LP, slated to arrive next Friday, Oct. 3, marks Swift’s 12th studio album and follows 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department.
