Tropicoqueta is in full swing — and Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal that Karol G will get her own SiriusXM channel, where fans will get to hear the Colombian icon and some of her favorite music 24/7, in celebration of Latinx Heritage Month.
“I’m so excited for my fans to immerse themselves in the world of Tropicoqueta through Karol G Radio,” the singer said in a press release. “This is a chance for them to connect with me and the project on a deeper level—from the stories behind how certain tracks came together to the songs that shaped both me and this entire album.”
Subscribers can tune into Channel 79 from Oct. 3 through Oct 9, and on the SiriusXM app from Oct. 1 through Oct. 14. The channel will include four exclusive specials: Las Joyas de Tropicoqueta, Karol G: Sus Favoritas, Latinas Foreva, and Discografía de la Vichota.
“Joyas” will let Karol G share personal anecdotes about her favorite songs on Tropicoqueta, diving into both the creative and collaborative process of the record. For “Sus Favoritas,” she’ll play music from artists she admires across genres, including Eminem, Ciara, and Café Tacvba. “Latinas Foreva” will celebrate Latina stars, spotlighting the women who influenced Karol’s career. And with “Discografía,” fans will journey through her entire repertoire.
“Karol G is a global superstar whose music transcends borders and connects with millions of fans around the world. We are thrilled to launch a channel that celebrates her incredible talent, cultural impact, and powerful voice,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s president, in a press release. “The channel will give listeners an exclusive, front-row experience into Karol G’s world.”
SiriusXM will continue their Latinx Heritage Month programming across its Latino-focused stations, including Rumbón, Viva, Latidos, Flow Nación, Caricia, and Águila.
