Pooh Shiesty Released From Prison Early

Pooh Shiesty is a free man after being released from prison earlier than expected.

The Memphis-born rapper, best known for his 2020 hit “Back in Blood” with Lil Durk, was released from a high-security federal prison in Pennsylvania on Monday (October 3).

Pooh (real name Lontrell Williams) appears to be already enjoying his newfound freedom, with videos and photos showing him posted up with friends and family — including fellow Memphis artists BIG30 and K Carbon — at a welcome home party.

“I am elated that Pooh has been released after three years,” the rapper’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, said in a statement to XXL.

“The government fought hard to give him 10, but after listening to the case, the judge agreed with us that it was not appropriate and gave him a sentence that resulted in him serving three years.”

Cohen added: “I know he will come back bigger than ever and definitely learned from this experience. He is excited to start the next chapter of his story. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and I think that this is just the beginning of his second act.”

According to TMZ, Pooh Shiesty is prohibited from possessing controlled substances, must submit to periodic drug tests and report to a probation officer as part of his release conditions.

The 25-year-old has been behind bars since 2022 after he pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of violent and drug‑trafficking crimes.

He was sentenced to 63 months in prison, which would have kept him incarcerated until April 2026 with time served.

Shiesty was initially arrested back in October 2020 in connection with a robbery and shoot-out in Florida that was caught on camera.
