Miranda Lambert just posted the sweetest carousel of photos and rare videos on Instagram of her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, on his 34th birthday, along with a captivating message to the retired NYPD officer.
Lambert writes, “Happy birthday to my city gone country and honorary Texan husband. Lover of the sun, his family, friends, the kitchen, pasta, hot dogs, travel, animals and all things fun. You are the best. 34 looks good on you! I love you.”
Within the slideshow of photos are some rare videos where we actually hear McLoughlin speaking, and not just shirtless and smiling.
The last slide in particular is one that people in the comment section have latched onto.
It’s a video of McLoughlin, filmed by Lambert, where he says, “I’m glad to be a Texan today.”
Lambert then says, “Say it again,” and McLoughlin says, “I’m proud to be a Texan…no, I’m proud to be married to a Texan today.”
You can totally hear McLoughlin’s New York accent as he says “married,” proving that you can take the boy out of the city, but you can’t actually take the city out of the boy.
The reason he was proud to be a Texan on the day this was filmed is because it was snowing in New York and sunny in Texas, to which Lambert replied, “Ha ha,” in a snarky kind of way.
The comment section is filled with nothing but love for the country couple.
One fan comments, “Happy birthday to your boo! I love he can cook and always look good for you!! Enjoy the day y’all!
Another writes, “Happy Birthday Brendan and thank you for filling our girls world with the love she deserves.”
