Lainey Wilson Appears in the ‘Reminders of Him’ Trailer

Lainey Wilson is headed to the big screen! The country singer is set to make her film debut in the 2026 movie Reminders of Him.

Who Does Lainey Wilson Play in Reminders of Him?

Fans won’t have to wait long to get a look at Lainey Wilson’s role in Reminders of Him as she appears in the first trailer for the forthcoming flick.

In the movie Wilson plays Amy, a shift manager at a local grocery store who befriends the main character Kenna Rowan (Maika Monroe) when no one else will give her a chance.

While her role is a bit bigger in the full film, we only get a small glimpse of Wilson’s Amy interacting with Kenna as the two have a chat in a public restroom in the newly released trailer.

“What’s your trauma?” Amy asks.

“I can’t get a job because I just got out of prison,” Kenna replies.

“S–t, you win,” she says.

What Is Reminders of Him About?

For those who haven’t read Colleen Hoover’s bestselling 2022 novel, Reminders of Him follows a young woman named Kenna, who struggles as she attempts to rebuild her life in her hometown following a prison sentence from a previous mistake.

In addition to dealing with the grief of losing her lover, she also tries to reconnect with her daughter, whom she was separated from while serving her sentence.

The film also stars Bradley Whitford, Tyriq Withers, and Lauren Graham, as well as Jennifer Robertson, Rudy Pankow, and more.

Reminders of Him is scheduled to hit theaters on March 13, 2025.

Has Lainey Wilson Acted Before?

This isn’t Wilson’s first rodeo when it comes to acting roles. She made her on-screen debut on Season 5 of the show Yellowstone.

The country singer played Abby, who just so happens to be a country singer. Her character falls in love with Ryan, one of the series’ bunkhouse cowboys.

Wilson appeared in the first episode of Season 5 and returned again for the season finale.

Projects You Forgot These ‘Yellowstone’ Actors Were In

Yellowstone has swept the nation with its western themes and constant drama. What has really sold the show — aside from Taylor Sheridan’s brilliant writing and directing — is the cast he assembled.

But don’t think for a second these men and women didn’t have a stacked resume before taking on their respective roles in the Dutton saga. Several were in some pretty big films or television shows before they ever set foot on the Yellowstone Dutton ranch.
