New Music Friday: Wale, De La Soul, Cardi B, Meek Mill & More

This week’s New Music Friday feels like a return to the MMG era with new offerings from Wale, Meek Mill and Rick Ross (although not together, unfortunately).

After a four-year wait, Folarin is back with his eighth album (and first on Def Jam) Everything Is A Lot, which showcases his artistic range and eclectic music taste with features from Leon Thomas, Shaboozey, BNYX and others.

Meek also continues to navigate life after MMG by dropping the aptly-titled Indie Pack (Vol. 01), a four-track EP featuring a sole appearances from Fridayy and released through his own Dreamchasers imprint.

Rozay, meanwhile, rides shotgun on Kevin Gates‘ “I’m a Dog (Remix),” which finds him spitting a whole new verse on his and Meek’s classic “I’m a Boss” beat. 14 years later, the Biggest Bawse is still doin’ it big.

Elsewhere, De La Soul reunite with Q-Tip on the latest single from their upcoming album Cabin in the Sky, Cardi B taps Jeezy for a snow-capped remix of “ErrTime” (which might as well have been a Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 leftover), and Lil Baby continues The Leak$ rollout with yet another hard-hitting loosie.

Other highlights include a surprise joint album between Baton Rouge bullies Boosie Badazz and NBA YoungBoy, Summer Walker‘s star-studded new project and not-to-be-slept-on efforts from Boldy James and Navy Blue.
