This time last year, Taste of Country attempted to make nine big country music predictions for 2025. The results were pretty humbling.
We got 4/9 correct, plus a half point because, while our prediction about Morgan Wallen surprise-dropping an album was wrong, he did at least surprise-drop the first single. Hey, cut us some slack!

We took shots in the dark about where Luke Combs and Ella Langley‘s careers were headed, and were dead wrong in both cases.

Which of Our 2025 Predictions Were Right?
But enough about what we got wrong. A generous tally of our list yields four and a half correct predictions out of nine, including two major tours, an album and the career trajectory of one major artist.
- Taste of Country predicted a new album from Eric Church, and we got one. We also thought he was likely to embark on a major tour, which he did.
- We called B.S. on Zach Bryan‘s 2024 decision to stop touring, and sure enough, he announced a new tour late this year, which will kick off in 2026.
- We also correctly predicted that Gabby Barrett would keep releasing Christian music, and that Sabrina Carpenter would have a big country collab in 2025.
