Ariana Grande Gets Way Too Cozy in Silly ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promo


Ariana Grande should probably Christmas and Chill a bit! On Wednesday, Saturday Night Live released a promo video ahead of her hosting gig (with Cher as a musical guest) that sees her bundling up like a tamale as she gets ready to hang with the SNL crew.

In the video, SNL cast member Ashley Grombol stops by Grande’s dressing room to invite her to “throw snowballs at Ben Marshall” and see the Rockefeller Christmas tree.

Grande turns to the mirror and starts bundling up: a vest, gloves, earmuffs, cute boots, and a huge jacket. Then, when she sees it’s getting colder, she adds a head covering, a hat, a massive scarf, and another pair of mittens pulled over her hands. “Jesus Christ!” she exclaims as she watches the temperature drop on her weather app.

Grande then waddles out in the over-the-top ensemble, only to be met by Grombol, who breaks the bad news that the Christmas tree is no longer available to view.

“You know what? I know where we could get the best view,” Grombol tells Grande, leading her to Lorne Michaels’ office, where they get a glimpse of the tree.

“Um, I have to pee,” Grande then says, before waddling off in her ridiculous outfit.

It’s been a banner two years for Grande, who most recently starred as Glinda in Wicked and this year’s Wicked: For Good, earning a pair of Golden Globe nominations. She also released her album, Eternal Sunshine in 2024, and its follow-up, Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead, this year.
