Arcángel Announces New Album With Daddy Yankee, Ricky Martin, Feid

The Puerto Rican star also taps Grupo Firme, Sech, and Beéle for La 8va Maravilla

Arcángel is continuing his streak of dropping at least an album of year since 2018. Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal that the Puerto Rican reggaetonero will release his upcoming album, La 8va Maravilla, on Jan. 15, featuring stars like Daddy Yankee, Grupo Firme, and Ricky Martin, marking the celebration of his two-decade career.

“Dropping a new album as I celebrate 20 years in my career is a full-circle moment,” he tells Rolling Stone. “This project reflects my evolution as an artist; it represents everything I’ve lived, learned, and poured into my music, and I can’t wait for the fans to finally hear it.”

After a consecutive trio of solo songs to open the album, Ricky Martin will join Arcangel on “Lluvia.” The album also features Beéle on “Chula,” Austin San on “Me Dañas La Mente,” and both Sech and Kapo on “Te Extraño.”

Feid joins on “Mírame Baby,” Daddy Yankee — who announced a foray into Christian music —appears on “Di Amen,” and Mexican band Grupo Firme offers an assist on the previously released track “Cuanto Cuesta.” Single “Joy Se Guaya” is also featured on the record.

“Every feature was chosen with intention,” Arcángel says. “Each collaborator is someone I deeply respect, not only for their talent, but for who they are as human beings.”
