TWICE have been on their This Is For world tour since last summer, with 26 shows played in 2025 and a North American leg currently underway. It’s never been a better time to see them live: Since their 2015 debut, this group has stayed united as nine members, proving their longevity through activities like headlining Lollapalooza, performing in last year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (which was followed by involvement in this year’s Valentine’s Day campaign), and being part of the cultural megahit that is KPop Demon Hunters.
Having first made their mark with an upbeat, bubblegum-pop sound, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu have evolved and matured over the past decade. And while the members of TWICE have previously showcased their individual tastes through covers of other artists (or via solo releases for those who have debuted individually), the This is For tour marks a new milestone in their career as for the first time, as each member performs her own original song, with most of them off of their latest album, Ten: The Story Goes On, spotlighting their distinct identities within the group. (Chaeyoung opted for “SHOOT (Firecracker)” off her album LIL FANTASY vol.1.)
Following the solo performances was another highlight of the show, a performance of “Takedown” from KPop Demon Hunters by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung — an addition to the setlist for North America, and a welcome surprise for fans. TWICE played four shows in Los Angeles, sustaining their energy through the very last moments of the final night. Jihyo’s relentless energy stood out as she poured everything into both choreography and vocals, ultimately losing her voice by the show’s end.
The setlist was nicely balanced between old and new, with the inclusion of fan-favorite earlier hits like “Fancy” and “What Is Love?” paired with newer tracks off the This Is For album, all elevated and reimagined with a live band. They even performed “Twice Song,” a silly unofficial track made for a variety show in 2017. The show’s pacing was tight, with back-to-back performances and minimal breaks to keep the momentum going.
Despite having performed in L.A. multiple times throughout their career, the group made the This Is For show feel new and fresh, thanks to a unique 360-degree stage design that has received widespread praise since its debut at their first Korean show last July. The layout ensures that every fan in the venue had a good view, and the members incorporated rotations throughout their choreography for an immersive experience (even Dahyun, who was seated for most of the show due to an ankle injury). In addition to the stage design, the audience was surrounded by screens, making the concert feel almost like a VR experience, with something to see no matter where you turned. The 360-degree design also allowed for the crowd’s screams to echo and fill the entirety of the Kia Forum.
“Thank you so much for having fun with us for the past four shows,” Sana said at the end of the show as all nine members stood together holding hands for a final bow. “We’ll come back to have fun with you guys again!” TWICE’s genuine joy onstage was felt throughout the show, as their playful moments with one another translated into an uplifting, feel-good atmosphere for fans. Their natural chemistry and confidence serves as a powerful reminder of TWICE’s enduring power as nine.
