The highly anticipated single arrives after the pair debuted the track live at the beginning of March
Alejandro Sanz has teamed up with rising Argentine singer Yami Safdie for sweet ballad “Cuéntame.” The song marks Sanz’s first offering of new music in 2026 — and it’s all thanks to Safdie’s expert manifesting powers.
“Cuéntame” came together after the young singer attended Univision’s Latin music award show Premios Lo Nuestro and made it her mission to connect with the Spanish icon and gauge his interest in doing a collaboration. After that, Sanz agreed to offer his passionate vocals to the track.
Safdie and Sanz also star alongside each other for the song’s music video. In the simple visual, the two drive around in a vintage red car as they rattle of all the mundane details they wish to learn about a new romantic partner.
Earlier this month, the collaborators debuted “Cuéntame” live during Sanz Y Ahora Qué world tour stop in Argentina. It was a slowed-down moment as both singers sat side by side in chairs to deliver the ballad.
Both Sanz and Safdie are in the middle of touring around the world. The Spanish icon is taking his Latin Grammy-winning album ¿Y Ahora Qué? from 2025 on the road while the Argentine singer is on her first-ever international tour, the Querida Yo world tour which is making stops in Mexico, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy.
With “Cuéntame,” Safdie continues to give her fans more to look forward to. The track serves as the first official single from the upcoming Querida Yo Deluxe, an expanded version of her third studio album which was released in 2025.
