Justin Moore has a full slate of shows lined up around the country, but fans have been noticing that he is performing with a brace on his leg and walking with a bad limp.
Justin Moore Suffers Severe Knee Injury While Skiing
The “Times Ticking” singer was a guest on Country Countdown USA where he detailed what happened to him. He incurred an injury while out on the slopes with his family on vacation.
“We just got back from skiing in Aspen, where I tore my MCL like an idiot. It didn’t require surgery,” Moore explains. “So that’s good news.”
Fans at Moore’s concerts have noticed the giant brace on his leg so he has had to address the injury both on stage and online for his fans.
Moore, his wife, and their four kids are avid skiers, and he actually considers himself pretty skilled on the slopes. But this time, things didn’t go as planned.
“We’ve been taking the kids skiing for spring break for ten years. I was skiing the best I have in years. I was skiing with good skiers. I kept up with them for 4-5 runs,” he describes. “We went through this trick part. Then my knee went in one direction, and the rest of my leg went in the other. I knew from playing sports that it wasn’t good.”

What is a Torn MCL?
- According to the Cleveland Clinic, a torn MCL is damage to the medial collateral ligament, which is a major ligament that’s located on the inner side of your knee.
- The tear can be partial or complete. Moore’s was a complete tear.
Will Justin Moore Have to Cancel Shows?
It doesn’t seem like his calendar will be affected.
Justin Moore’s busy touring schedule will not stop while he rehabs from this injury. He has shows booked solid all the way until Sept. of 2026, and likely beyond.
Just expect a little less movement from the superstar while on stage, but the singing and guitars will all still be on point.
