The Road winner Adam Sanders will return to CBS when he appears on Marshals this Sunday (April 12). The singer and songwriter is going to sing a song he’s been holding on to for years.
Taste of Country has your first look at photos from his appearance as well as an acoustic studio version of his new song, “His To Mine.” While visiting with Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul, he told the story of his new song.
“I love late ’90s, early 2000s country music. That is my bread and butter,” he shares. “I’ve always had ’90s country as sort of the roots of my music, but I wanted to find a way — how do I make this branches of my music? So this song is a product of that. It reminds me of an old Brooks & Dunn song. Like a ‘She Used To Be Mine’ or ‘She Ain’t the Cheatin’ Kind.'”
Sunday’s episode of Marshals is titled “Family Business.” Sanders becomes the latest country singer to appear on the show, following Ashley Cooke and preceding Riley Green by one week.

While on set of Marshals, Sanders says he got to chat with the show’s star, Luke Grimes. They talked about songwriters they know in the business and contrasted their styles.
“It was really cool to … find out what makes his ticker tick,” Sanders says. “His type of music is a little different than mine. He likes that old-school stuff that’s kind of like ’80s and ’70s, and I’m kind of right in the middle of ’90s country.”
