New Music Friday: Ludacris, 6LACK & 2 Chainz, Sexyy Red, Yasiin Bey & More

There may be no major rap album this week, but there’s still plenty of great music worth checking out in this week’s New Music Friday.

Ludacris, who hasn’t released an album in over a decade, returns with a playful new single called “Pull Over” which boasts some trunk-rattling production from fellow Southern rap legend DJ Toomp.

Luda’s former Disturbing Tha Peace signee 2 Chainz is also in the mix with a grown ‘n’ sexy feature on fellow ATLien 6LACK‘s silky new track “Sunday Again,” taken from his upcoming album Love is the New Gangsta (out May 22).

There are also heavyweight collabs from Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and Pete Rock; Blu, Exile, Black Thought and Mach-Hommy; Jay Worthy and 9th Wonder; BNYX and Quavo; and former Bad Boy labelmates Black Rob (RIP) and G. Dep, who are teaming up for a joint album called Black & Depper.

On the projects front, Sexyy Red serves up more trap-flavored, twerk-friendly anthems on Your Favorite Trappa Favorite Rappa, Tony Yayo supplies your smokers’ holiday soundtrack with The 4:20 Tape, and rising Atlanta rappers Tezzus and diamond* get Young Thug‘s blessing on their collab effort UY SCUTI BØYZ — a nod to Thugger’s own 2025 album.
