Morgan Wallen‘s Saturday night (Apr. 18) stop in Tuscaloosa, Ala. delivered a big surprise.

Ella Langley, who opened for Wallen at the show, appeared onstage with him to sing a never-before-heard new duet called “I Can’t Love You Anymore.” Not only that, but the pair announced their song is coming out on Friday (Apr. 24).

“Ella wrote this song and sent it [to] me about a month ago and I loved it,” Wallen told fans (quote via Billboard) before they launched into the performance.

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” is pulsing and sultry, telling the story of two lovers who just can’t quit each other — no matter how painful it might be to stay.

Toxic love is a familiar musical theme for both artists. Both Langley and Wallen frequently release songs about heartache and troubled relationships.

I’m sitting in this bed with your ghost every night / I hate that your kiss left a burn on my lips / Oh baby, I tell my heart it ain’t yours / I’ve said it before / I can’t love you anymore,” the pair appear to sing in the chorus, according to the live performance.
