Luke Combs has a career in country music that most would love to experience. He’s so popular, it seems like he could try any opportunity or vanity project that struck his fancy.
But there’s at least one side quest he probably won’t ever be pursuing.
Luke Combs Admits There’s One Career Move He’ll Never Make
Luke Combs was a guest on Taste of Country Nights where he told me the one thing that isn’t and likely won’t ever be on his radar… acting.

I asked him if he has any interest in acting like some of his fellow country artists, Lainey Wilson and Riley Green. Combs said “I don’t really, man. I just don’t know if I’d be very good at it, you know?”
What? The man with the golden voice and 21 consecutive No. 1 singles on country radio is admitting he isn’t Superman and can’t just jump into a new career… don’t tell your kids this or they will lose all hope of people actually having super-human powers.
Luke Combs Is Too Busy To Act
Aside from Luke Combs admitting he wouldn’t be a very good actor, he has two more reasons not to move in that direction.
“Gosh, it’s hard to have time to do anything but raise the boys and do these shows at the moment, so definitely no time on the schedule for it,” the singer says.
I recommended that if he does ever change his mind he would be a good fit for a cool high school teacher, like, maybe a gym teacher that all the students like. To that, Combs laughed and said “Probably too old for that at this point, ya know?”

Luke Combs is ready to join the ranks of country artists who have opened their own bars in Nashville’s Broadway district. The honky-tonk will be called Category 10, playing off of his debut single “Hurricane.” Although true hurricanes are categorized no higher than a Category 5, Combs opted to double the intensity with a 10 ranking. It’s a nod to his career, really.
Category 10 will be anything but small: The bar will be the largest entertainment venue on the strip, featuring the area’s biggest dance floor and rooftop. Combs is also including more intimate spaces to accommodate young talented singers and songwriters.
