Why Clint Black Canceled His Tour Stop This Weekend


Clint Black will not be performing this weekend due to a medical emergency, but he assures fans that he will be just fine.

What Happened to Clint Black?

  • On Wednesday (July 1), a message appeared on Black’s social media pages alerting fans of a show cancelation.
  • The country singer was scheduled to play the Pearl River Resort Casino on Friday, July 3, but “due to a medical emergency” he will not be making it to the stage.

“Clint was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with infected tonsils requiring emergency antibiotic treatment,” the note reads. “Clint is on the mend and will make a full recovery and is expected to be discharged from the hospital later this week.”

The message also mentioned that those fans holding tickets to the show will be refunded at their point of purchase.

Clint Blacks’ 2026 Tour

So far, all of Black’s remaining tour dates are still on the calendar. His next show is scheduled for July 9 in Minden, Nevada. The Back on the Blacktop Tour will keep him busy through Nov. 14 when things wrap up in Lake Charles, La.

At this time, the country veteran is still on the lineup for Disney’s Fourth of July celebration in Nashville. Disney Celebrates America: Nashville’s Star-Spangled Bash will air live coast-to-coast on ABC.
