Potty Training on Tour Didn’t Go as Planned for Russell Dickerson

Russell Dickerson and his wife Kailey just announced that they are expecting their third child, all the while still dealing with potty training their 2-year-old son, Radford.

As you could imagine, it’s not easy potty training a toddler while living on a tour bus. But due to Dickerson’s touring schedule, that’s simply how it worked out.

Potty Training His Son on Tour Didn’t Go as Planned for Russell Dickerson

While Dickerson was out on the road, he had a stop at Hoofbeat Country Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin, in June 2026. He was sharing the bill with Kane Brown, and his son got a little wild one day in front of Brown and everyone else backstage.

Dickerson tells me on Taste of Country Nights, “We just did a show with Kane Brown. We’re potty training our youngest and we all just turn around and little man just has dropped trow, peeing on the front of our bus.”

To clarify, the little boy wasn’t peeing on the inside of the bus — he was outside, posted up by the front bumper.

How Did Russell Dickerson React to His Son’s Potty Training Mishap?

Dickerson took it with a grain of salt and thought it was funny and said out loud, “You know what? This is life on the road, baby. These are memories that are gonna last a lifetime!”

Russell Dickerson’s Kids

Russell Dickerson and his wife, Kailey, have two children. Both boys. Remington Edward (born 2020) and Radford Arthur (born 2023).

Dickerson and his wife, Kailey, just announced that they are expecting their third child. They did not give a date of arrival but we can safely assume it will be in the beginning of 2027.
