Florist Announce New Album Jellywish, Share Video for New Song: Watch

Florist have announced their fifth studio album and follow-up to 2022’s self-titled record; Jellywish arrives April 4 via Double Double Whammy. The indie-folk quartet is formally introducing the LP with “Have Heaven” and its adjoining music video animated by Kohana Wilson. Check out the new song below.

“‘Have Heaven’ establishes the world of the album to be not quite always lucid, but rather a perspective that is blended into the worlds of the magic and death realms swirling around us,” bandleader Emily Sprague explained in a statement. “The chorus is a chant that pleads for a better symbiosis between these worlds, and between our earthly forms trying to survive alongside each other, bound to the systems we must exist within.”

Jellywish is billed as an exercise in imagining a world where magic is a daily companion, possibility is everywhere, and asking the difficult questions is rewarding. The 10-song LP also includes the previously released track “This Was a Gift.”
