From some of rock and metal’s most respected veteran artists to the biggest acts in the modern day and deep into the underground, it’s been another richly rewarding year for new music.

As much as well all love the album format, there’s no denying the power of a great single. In the age where playlists are seemingly preferred over the daunting task of listening to hundreds and hundreds of new albums front to back, a standout song with staying power feels more valuable than ever.
