Charli XCX to Star in Her Own A24 Movie The Moment

Charli XCX is set to star in a new A24 movie that she herself came up with, Variety reports. The Moment is the debut project from her Studio365 production company, as well as the directorial debut of Aidan Zamiri. PC Music founder and longtime Charli XCX collaborator A. G. Cook will score the film, according to Variety.

Other details are thin on the ground, but Variety reports that Zamiri and Bertie Brandes turned Charli XCX’s idea into a screenplay. The Moment is the latest in a string of movie reveals from the pop star, following numerous projects that are still in-the-works including A24’s Mother Mary, Gregg Araki’s drama I Want Your Sex, the horror remake Faces of Death, and a Romain Gavras film called Sacrifice that also stars Yung Lean.
