Lady Gaga has released her brand new single “Disease.” The theatrical lead single of her forthcoming album arrives with a lyric video that you can check out below, along with the single art.
Lady Gaga got the release cycle churning last month amid her press tour for Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she stars as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix. The new record, known as LG7, would get its first single in October, Gaga said in a Vogue cover story, ahead of the Chromatica follow-up’s arrival in February. A press release for “Disease” confirmed the February album release date.
In the Vogue interview, Gaga mentioned a surprise project that would arrive before LG7. That wound up being Harlequin, a companion album to the Joker sequel that features covers of songs within the film, as well as two Gaga originals.
Based on Gaga’s statement upon its release, it seems as though “Die With a Smile”—her collaborative ballad with Bruno Mars—will not feature on LG7.
