Dirty Projectors’ David Longstreth Details Legend of Ochi Soundtrack Album, Shares New Songs: Listen


Dirty ProjectorsDavid Longstreth scored writer and director Isaiah Saxon’s new A24 movie, The Legend of Ochi, and he’s now announced the details of the soundtrack album. The album is out on the same day as the film’s theatrical release, April 25, and it’s preceded by three new songs. Listen to “Prelude,” “The Pond,” and “The River” below.

While Longstreth’s Legend of Ochi album is largely orchestral, it does include a new Dirty Projectors song “Through the Long and Lonely Night,” an alternate version of which features in the movie. The Legend of Ochi stars Willem Dafoe, Finn Wolfhard, Helena Zengel, and Emily Watson. It premiered at Sundance in Janaury.

Longstreth and Dirty Projectors just released a new album that they made with Stargaze, Song of the Earth.
