King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard Announce New Album Release Date, Share New Video: Watch

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have announced a release date for their forthcoming orchestral album. Phantom Island is officially out June 13 via the prolific Australian band’s own label, (P)Doom Records. King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard previously shared the record’s title track, and they have now followed it up with the single “Deadstick,” alongside a music video directed and edited by Guy Tyzack. Watch it below.

The songs on Phantom Island were written during the sessions for King Gizzard’s 2024 studio album, Flight B741, and recorded alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Following the album’s release, they’ll embark on a U.S. tour, accompanied at most dates by conductor Sarah Hicks and a city-specific orchestra, though with a few stripped down rock’n’roll shows thrown in, too.
