The Roots, De La Soul, Janelle Monáe, and More to Perform at Newport Jazz Festival 2025


The Newport Jazz Festival has announced the lineup for its 2025 edition. The Roots, De La Soul, Janelle Monáe, Jorja Smith, Esperanza Spalding, Terence Blanchard, and many others will perform at the festival’s longtime home at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. The 71st annual event takes place August 1-3. Check out the full lineup on the festival poster below.

The festival will also host sets from Raye, Jacob Collier, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Willow, and a number of ensemble performances, such as one from Bela Fleck, Edmar Castañeda, and Antonio Sanchez Trio.

The 2024 Newport Jazz Festival featured sets by André 3000, Kamasi Washington, Laufey, Elvis Costello, Brittany Howard, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Meshell Ndegeocello, Makaya McCraven, and many more.
