TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe Signs to Sub Pop, Shares New Solo Song “Magnetic”: Listen

TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe has signed to Sub Pop for his debut solo LP, due next year. The first look at the record comes in the form of “Magnetic,” with a self-directed video in which Adebimpe performs in an alley beside a high-energy dancer. Watch it go down below.

Sub Pop co-founder Jonathan Poneman said of the signing, in a press release, “We heartily welcome Tunde Adebimpe to Sub Pop’s roster of artists. His inclusion makes the whole lot better—and a whole lot classier! We’ve waited 20-plus years for Sub Pop to earn the chance to be Tunde Adebimpe’s label.”

News of Adebimpe’s solo album comes as TV on the Radio return to the road after a long pause, playing shows in New York, Los Angeles, and London next month.
