The Hard Quartet Announce 2025 North American Tour

The Hard Quartet—the indie-rock supergroup of Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus, Chavez’s Matt Sweeney, Dirty Three’s Jim White, and the Cairo Gang’s Emmett Kelly—are going on a 2025 North American tour in support of their self-titled debut album. Check out their complete list of tour dates below.

After kicking off 2025 with an Australian tour, the Hard Quartet will return to their homeland for a long run of dates, beginning on March 21, in Nashville, Tennessee. From there, the tour will bring the Hard Quartet across North America throughout the spring until they wrap things up on May 9, in Seattle, Washington. Opening select shows are Sharp Pins—the jangle-pop project of Kai Slater from Lifeguard—and Evischen.

The Hard Quartet released their debut single, “Earth Hater,” in July, and the album followed in October. The band played its first official concert on October 10 in Los Angeles.
