Sufjan Stevens Releases “Death With Dignity (Demo)”: Listen


Sufjan Stevens has shared another demo from the Carrie & Lowell sessions. The previously unheard version of “Death With Dignity” will appear, alongside six other bonus tracks, on a forthcoming deluxe reissue of Stevens’ 2015 album. Listen to the new track below.

Out May 30 via Asthmatic Kitty, Carrie & Lowell (10th Anniversary Edition) includes a 40-page photo booklet and an essay written by Stevens. The musician recently shared a demo version of “Mystery of Love,” which was written during the Carrie & Lowell sessions but later appeared on the soundtrack to Luca Guadagnino’s 2017 film Call Me by Your Name. Last year, Stevens reissued his 2004 album, Seven Swans, for its 20th anniversary.
