Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre Confirm Release of New Album Missionary

For years, Snoop Dogg has teased a Dr. Dre–produced album called Missionary. He’s now made it official, announcing that the album will arrive on December 13 via Death Row Records, the legendary hip-hop label that he acquired in 2022. Watch a teaser video for the project on Instagram.

Snoop Dogg has suggested that Missionary is an homage to Doggystyle, his 1993 debut that Dr. Dre also produced. Discussing the new album, earlier this year, Dre said, “This one is gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career.”

Missionary will follow February 2022’s BODR, Snoop Dogg’s first solo album on the revived Death Row Records.
