Nilüfer Yanya Announces Dancing Shoes EP, Shares New Song “Where to Look”: Listen


Nilüfer Yanya has announced a new EP. Out July 2 via Ninja Tune, Dancing Shoes follows last year’s studio album My Method Actor and features the previously shared single “Cold Heart” alongside three additional tracks. Listen to another taste of the project, titled “Where to Look,” below.

“We started writing this song for the album, but it was tricky to get it off the ground at that time,” Yanya said of “Where to Look” in a press statement. “Then when we came back from tour, it suddenly clicked. Melodically it’s one of my favourite things ever. Very glad I was able to give it the time and breathing space that it needed.”

Yanya made Dancing Shoes alongside her longtime creative partner Wilma Archer. This fall, Yanya will be on the road supporting Alex G for a run of North American tour dates, after which she’s set to open for for Lorde at several European stops on the singer’s Ultrasound World Tour.
