Japanese Breakfast Shares New Song From Materialists Movie: Listen


Japanese Breakfast has shared “My Baby (Got Nothing at All),” her contribution to Materialists, the new movie from Past Lives director Celine Song. Listen to the new song below.

A pair of Baby Rose songs also feature on the soundtrack, which A24 Music is releasing alongside Daniel Pemberton’s score. Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans star in the movie, which is out this Friday, June 13.

Michelle Zauner released the latest Japanese Breakfast album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& Sad Women), back in March. It features the singles “Orlando in Love,” “Picture Window,” “Mega Circuit,” and “Winter in LA.” She is currently midway through an international tour that returns to North America in August. Japanese Breakfast started her live run behind the new album with a special Coachella performance, during which she covered Gorillaz’s dreamy 2010 song “On Melancholy Hill.”
