The Beatles, Taylor Swift, and More Nominated for Record of the Year at 2025 Grammys

The Beatles have been nominated at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The band is recognized, in the Record of the Year category, for its final song, “Now and Then.” The Beatles will compete in the category against Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Kendrick Lamar, and Sabrina Carpenter. See all of the 2025 Grammy nominees here.

The surviving members of the Beatles—Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr—used artificial intelligence technology to turn a John Lennon demo into “Now and Then.” The track also features the other late member of the Beatles, bassist George Harrison, who worked on it, in the 1990s, with McCartney and Starr. The Beatles have never won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

The 2025 Grammy Awards are set to air live, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. Follow along with all of Pitchfork’s coverage of the 2025 Grammy Awards, and revisit “Who Should Be Nominated at the 2025 Grammy Awards” on the Pitch.
