Frank Ocean Releasing Channel Orange on Vinyl for the First Time

Remember six years ago when Frank Ocean said that vinyl editions of Channel Orange would be coming “ASAP”? Well, he’s finally made good on that promise, as the Channel Orange vinyl is now available on Ocean’s Blonded.co website. It’s a 2xLP package, and it costs $69. The listing also says: “Please allow 4-6 weeks for fulfillment.”

Channel Orange was originally released digitally and on CD, and it was thought that a vinyl edition would soon follow. Ocean was even excited to grab a physical copy of his debut, telling Zane Lowe, “It’ll be a glorious day for me personally.” Instead, the Channel Orange vinyl never materialized (until now), and fans were left to sort through various unofficial and bootleg releases.

Ocean has sold limited quantities of his subsequent albums, Endless and Blonde. The hard-to-come-by records have been slightly easier to get in recent years, however, due to reissues.
