Water From Your Eyes Share Video for New Song “Playing Classics”: Watch

Water From Your Eyes are back with another new song from It’s a Beautiful Place, following June’s “Life Signs.” Their latest single, “Playing Classics,” comes with a music video by James Dayton in which a teddy bear goes for a long journey from a child’s stuffed animal, to a dog toy, to a skateboard accessory, to a star in Water From Your Eyes’ rehearsal. Watch it below.

It’s a Beautiful Place is out August 22 via Matador. It follows their 2023 album, Everyone’s Crushed, and an EP of cover songs they released in 2024. Water From Your Eyes also remixed the Armed’s song “Sport of Form” for last year’s Everlasting Gaze EP.

Outside of Nate Amos and Rachel Brown’s experimental pop band, Amos put out the solo album Box for Buddy, Box for Star with his This Is Lorelei project last year, while Brown released two EPs under her solo moniker Thanks for Coming: 2025’s The IRS No Longer Has My Address, and Neither Do I and 2023’s What Is My Capacity to Love?
