Chris Baio and Fort Romeau Share New C.Y.M. Songs: Listen

Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio and electronic producer Michael Greene, better known as Fort Romeau, have revived their C.Y.M. moniker for a new pair of singles. “Justify” and “Catania”—the latter of which features saxophone courtesy of Colin Killalea—mark the duo’s first music since releasing a self-titled EP in 2019. Listen to both new tracks below.

“‘Justify / Catania’ is the first taste of a journey that began in January 2020,” Baio and Greene shared in a press statement. “This journey involves many places (Los Angeles, London, Glasgow, Paris, and Lagos) and many extremely talented collaborators (we’ll be telling you all about them soon). There’s a long road ahead; for now, we hope you enjoy the beginning of this ride.”

Baio shared his latest solo album, Dead Hand Control, in 2021. He’ll perform with Vampire Weekend through the rest of the summer.
