Shabaka Announces Possession EP, Shares New Song Featuring billy woods: Listen


Shabaka has enlisted rapper billy woods for a new song called “Timepieces.” It serves as the opening song on the jazz musician’s Possession EP, which features further contributions from woods’ Armand Hammer bandmate, Elucid, Esperanza Spalding, South African jazz musician Nduduzo Makhathini, Brandee Younger, Carlos Niño, and Jason Moran. The Possession EP is out December 6 (via Impulse!). It follows Shabaka’s Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace.
