Mitski Announces New Concert Film The Land

Mitski will release her first concert film in theaters around the world on October 22. Directed by Grant James, Mitski: The Land is drawn from her three-night run with a seven-piece band at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in 2024, behind the 2023 album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We.

The show features Monica Mirabile choreography and Andi Watson stage design, with audio mixed by longtime Mitski producer Patrick Hyland. Out via Trafalgar Releasing, the film is produced by Moniker Films and Good Harbor Music in association with Working Class Films and Dead Oceans. As well as The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, the show includes “reworkings and reimaginations” from Mitski’s back catalog, a synopsis notes.
