Rahim Redcar Pays Tribute to SOPHIE With New “It’s Okay to Cry” Cover: Listen

Rahim Redcar, the artist formerly known as Christine and the Queens, has covered “It’s Okay to Cry” by the late SOPHIE. While this is the first proper recording of his take on the song, Redcar has actually been performing the cover live during his recent club tour of Europe. Give it a listen below.

Back in September, Redcar released their latest full-length album: Hopecore. Self-described as “a call of the flesh, a prayer for justice and freedom,” it followed 2022’s Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue) and 2023’s Paranoïa, Angels, True Love.

There are just two dates left on the docket for Redcar’s ongoing tour, where fans have a good chance of hearing his SOPHIE cover live in person. On November 28, Redcar will perform in Lausanne, Switzerland, and then head to Berlin, Germany for a concert on December 11. Find all upcoming tour dates below.
