My Bloody Valentine Announce First Concert in 7 Years

My Bloody Valentine will return to the stage in 2025. The band announced a one-off show at Dublin’s 3Arena—their first concert since 2018—on social media this morning. No further details or clues of further activity were shared, nor has Kevin Shields shared any updates on new music since telling The New York Times in 2021 that the band was working on two albums, having signed to Domino.

Shields told the Times that one of the in-progress records was “warm and melodic,” the other more experimental. He added, “I don’t want to be 70-something wanting to make the next record after m b v. I think it’d be cooler to make one now.” Their last album was 2013’s M B V.
