Are you looking to end 2025 with some jam-heavy, electric, and contagious vibes? There are a plethora of solid options to head into the new year feeling right. Whether it is kickin’ it with Goose at Goosemas in Providence, Rhode Island, Phish at Madison Square Garden for their legendary New Years run, or Widespread Panic at the Fox in Atlanta for their New Years run, the East Coast is ready to end 2025 with a bang.
Below you will find important information on the three options to celebrate in style.
Goosemas – December 13th & 14th – Amica Mutual Pavilion, Providence, Rhode Island
Goose will end another massive year with their annual Goosemas celebration on December 13th and 14th at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. 2025 has been an epic year for the four-piece “indie groove” band with Connecticut roots, comprised of Rick Mitarotonda lead guitarist/vocalist, Peter Anspach (keys, guitar, vocals), Trevor Weekz (bass), and Cotter Ellis (drums), who released two new studio albums (Everything Must Go and Chain Yer Dragon), sold out Madison Square Garden, and have been playing out almost continuously.
Goosemas is not only two nights of live music and lights that will be sure to electrify, it is surrounded by a community and events ranging from pre-show yoga and cacao ceremonies, to post show DJ sets with Ruthie Bandit on Friday, and an after show with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong on Saturday.
Goose is continuing to level up, and the time is now to catch them live. Goosemas tickets can be found here.
Phish – December 28-31 – Madison Square Garden, NYC
If you have not experienced the spectacle of Phish‘s legendary New Year’s run at MSG, it’s one for your concert bucket list, whether you’re into the jam scene or not. It’s creative, it’s unique, it’s authentic, and pure bliss. To witness midtown Manhattan being overtaken by “heads” creates the nostalgic feeling when the Grateful Dead used to take over cities on their legendary runs.
The iconic venue will once again be filled with the band’s improvisational spirit and creative energy, where Phish is in the record books for thirteen consecutive sellouts with no repeats of songs, known as “The Baker’s Dozen,” where their banner is hanging in the rafters with other legends.
Each show leading up to the 31st has its highlights, and some will argue the 30th is the best kept secret show to attend if choosing only one. Phish is sure to bring in the new year with a blend of classics and unexpected surprises with a unique theme coupled with edgy art, lighting, and props to bring in 2026 smiling.
You can’t go wrong attending one or all of the legendary run on Phish shows to end the year on a high.
Widespread Panic – December 29th-31st – Fox Theater, Atlanta, GA
Widespread Panic will return to the Fox Theatre this year for their New Year’s run on December 29th-31st at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA, and it is is generating significant buzz among fans, and already sold out. Panic is known for their psychedelic southern rock live performances and deep catalog of songs, and their passionate fanbase, that has been in the game for nearly 40 years. Formed in 1986 out of the Athens, GA music scene, Widespread Panic is a staple in the jam and improvisational rock scene.
The historic Fox Theatre, with its intimate setting and rich acoustics, provides the perfect backdrop for ringing in the new year, where their passionate fans can expect a mix of fan-favorite classics, an incredible light show, and perhaps some special guests and surprises along the way.
Widespread Panic is actively touring, and if you cannot make the NYE run, they are worth the effort, and another band that continues to innovate and create community along the way.
Good vibes abound to round out 2025, and no better way than with three of the most active touring, improvisational acts in the scene.
