REVIEW – TX2 – End of Us

I’d been pretty hyped for the release of TX2’s End of Us as TX2 has been everywhere on my feed and I wasn’t disappointed.

Evan’s vocals are absolutely sublime throughout the album and the features from the likes of Andy Black, Spencer Charnas, EKOH and DeathByRomy fit really well.

Opener Feed features DeathByRomy and their voices blend absolutely beautifully.

The lyrics for Nice Guy are actually quite relatable, feeling like you’re undeserving of love. It’s a really catchy track and I like the breakdown too.

The Resistance’s lyrical content is hyper relatable at this time in the world and it has a really cool riff.

The line “you’ve got a perfect poker face, too bad your words are like a bad politician apologising for slurs“ in The Rain is absolute genius. The track is one of the standouts on the album too. It’s an angsty hard rock track which mixes in some metalcore elements and I love the keys adding a rain type melody towards the end of the song.

The lyrics in Die Alone are really relatable too and the rapid pace of the song makes it feel like your thoughts are racing.

The titular track closes the album and it features one of my favourite vocalists in Andy Black. It’s an absolutely stunning track. Their vocals mix so well together and it’s such a calming track. The first half would honestly send me to sleep in a comforting way as it’s so atmospheric.

Every single one of TX2’s tracks on End of Us are really catchy and Evan’s vocal delivery fits well in the more melodic elements (which are my favourite as he really shows off his vocal ability), the rap moments and the heavier screams.

This is definitely a case of social media marketing done well for me. I may not have paid as much attention to TX2 if I wasn’t seeing him all over my social media feed constantly, but for once I am glad of the repetitive advertising as it made me want to listen to End of Us and its a brilliant album that will be holding a spot in the albums of the year list.
