Quavo’s New Street-Racing Movie Features Takeoff’s Final Acting Role

Quavo is back on the big screen this year. The Migos member stars as the protagonist of a new street racing film called Takeover. Premiering May 8, it also features a minor role by the late rapper Takeoff, marking his final posthumous film appearance since his tragic death in 2022. Watch the trailer for the movie below.

In the film, Quavo plays Guy Miller, who used to run Atlanta’s streets before he was put behind bars. “Fresh out of prison and determined to build something different, he’s pulled back into the chaos when a high-stakes job spins out of control,” reads the press statement.

Although Takeover marks Quavo’s biggest acting role to date, the rapper has been developing his acting portfolio in recent years. In 2025, he had a role in the casino thriller High Roller, and before that he starred in 2023’s Praise This alongside Chloe Bailey.
